Curb Pumpkin Cravings Without Breaking Weight Loss Goals

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and that means we need to curb pumpkin cravings that are now in full swing for many of us. The million-dollar question then is how do we indulge without ruining all the progress we’ve made? We at Power Blendz have come up with a few recipes to help fulfill those cravings while still sticking to your weight loss goals.

Curb Pumpkin Cravings with:

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

3 oz. Water

2 oz. Power Blendz Simply Zero Vanilla

2 TBS Libby’s Canned Pumpkin

1 TSP Cinnamon

1/2 Graham Cracker

1 Scoop Power Blendz Pure Protein Vanilla

 

This is smoothie is one of my favorites when working to curb pumpkin cravings once the leaves start to change! It has a great consistency in addition to a delicious taste that is just like a pumpkin pie. Not to mention it’s actually good for you! Add a swirl of non-fat whipped cream on top as well as a sprinkle of cinnamon for a faux PSL! This smoothie coupled with a fall morning yoga session is perfection!

 

Pumpkin Protein Pancakes

2 Tablespoons Pumpkin Puree

1 Scoop Power Blendz Pure Protein Vanilla

4 Tablespoons Egg Whites from a Carton

1-2 Tablespoons of Water (Consistency Varies)

¼ Teaspoon Cinnamon

 

I LOVE the pumpkin pancakes at IHop in the fall but my sister is getting married in December, so I can’t afford the extra calories of those delicious pancakes before the wedding, curb pumpkin cravings his recipe allows me to fulfill that craving while still fitting into my bridesmaids dress. They are fluffy, light, and they don’t even require maple syrup!  These pumpkin pancakes are equally as delicious as any I have ever had!

 

Peanut Butter Pumpkin Protein Bars

1 ½ Cup Oats

2 Scoops Power Blendz Peanut Butter Powder

1/3 Cup Honey

¼ Cup Chocolate Chips

1 Scoop Power Blendz Pure Protein Vanilla

3 Tablespoons Pumpkin Puree

1 Teaspoon Cinnamon

1 Teaspoon Baking Soda

1/8 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

 

Let’s be honest, I’m not much of a snack bar fan to begin with. Whether that is because I have an almond allergy and can’t enjoy some of the best bars out there, I’ll never know. What I do know is, these bars are different. They are soft and filling in addition to actually tasting good!

 

Pumpkin Protein Puddin’

1 Cup Pumpkin Puree

½ Cup Non-Fat Plain Greek Yogurt

1 Scoop Power Blendz Pure Protein Vanilla

¼ Teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice – More to taste

 

 

Who doesn’t love a sweet treat after dinner? I know I do! This pumpkin protein pudding is a healthy way to tend to your sweet tooth while not ruin your progress. In fact, it is great to have protein before bed. A little protein before bed helps prevent the breakdown of protein in the body that happens naturally over night!
